The name 'Steta' comes from the Latin term stet meaning 'let it stand', an editing term that proofreaders use.
We all tend to believe that good content just writes itself (sigh, if only!). Compelling content is one of the key components of your business, institute, or organization. It is the voice of your company.

What we doWe write for brands, education and software. We've helped sell European bread in Mumbai, written an art book that seeks to inspire young artists, and have reviewed a software product for language. We focus on Verbal Strategy (sounds grand, but is simple, really). We work with you to define what you want to say, and to whom. We take care of the how you want to say it.
We develop online help, release notes, what's new documents, installation guides and user guides as part of our technical writing services. Then, we go one step ahead. We also review your product interface for language and suggest onscreen user assistance. |
Why we do itAverage text hurts the reader. It leaves people feeling confused, bored, or annoyed. Words can also be the voice of your brand. Your communication influences your relationship with your customers, clients, and users. Even an online error message speaks volumes. Well-written, easy-to-read text tells the reader, “We care about you.” It is that simple.
For content to be effective, it has to be designed, like any other product, system, graphic, or service. Randomly written text just seems, well, random. Good content means clear communication. That, in turn, means less confused people, and more satisfied folk. |
Who we are
Ex Cofounder
Armeen Kapadia is always on the look-out for a good, solid bookcase to house her book collection. Besides books, she cultivates a growing stamp collection. A post-graduate from the National Institute of Design, she thinks that words and design are not that different, after all. A few years back she returned to her old love — writing — and hasn't looked back since. If you ask her what she's reading, be prepared for a fairly long conversation. You've been warned. |
Ex Cofounder
Urmilla Chandran's peaceful demeanour hides her deadly way with words. Paragraphs tremble when they see her approaching, armed with her red pen. While she's ruthless with words, she loves books unconditionally, and has several. She is super-friendly around people. She’s one of those who can coax water from a rock, and dreams from a pessimist. A true Hyderabadi, she’s a die-hard biryani loyalist. If you’re ever in her city, rest assured, you’d be well fed. |
